Halloweens a coming!

Exciting times. My little one rolled over for the first time yesterday. Well first time with me. She officially rolled over at the Dr office Sep 29th but not at home until yesterday. She rolled once from belly to back and then I put her back on her belly and she rolled again!!! She is getting so big and strong. Every time I look at her I get the feeling that am missing something, she is growing so fast I want to capture every moment in my heart to never forget how I felt at that moment. It's truly amazing to see some one growing before your eyes, capturing light and moments, sounds and feelings for the first time in their life. Knowing its the first time they saw a cat or felt a feather, or felt the cool wind on their cheek. WOW is all I have to say to that. She is truly amazing.
Well on a lighter note, we have her Halloween costume, lady bug! She is going to look too cute. I haven't put her in it yet ,but I need to try it out at some point. I think she will like Halloween. She is definitely an out side girl. She loves being out side. Can't wait to post pics!

6 weeks

Going on 6 weeks. Things are definitely getting better. Little one is growing and her face is changing. You can see her facial features much better. I feel more connected to her and her smiling face. She is such alert and bright baby. She is sleeping at night only waking once. Not sure how its going to work out when I go back to work, but well see, maybe she will be sleeping longer then:) Her daddy is completely smitten with her. As soon as he gets home, he is so excited to see her. I send him pics of her daily so he can see when she wakes up. Its still an adjustment for us, we have to plan allot more in advance now that we have her. i still don't feel comfortable breast feeding in public, so when we go out we usually give her formula. I can't go to long, before I start hurting:) She usually sleeps in the car anytime we go anywhere and she is pretty good if she is awake if she is full:) Things are good and am trying to enjoy every minute i have with her.

5 weeks

4 weeks old

So far my little one is 3 weeks and 6 days. 4 weeks tomorrow. The hospital stay was exhausting. Ended up with a C sec, not what I wanted but thankfully I walked away with a healthy baby girl. 8 lbs 6 oz. Poor thing, she wasn't getting enough from me and was crying her little heart out most of the time. We ended up supplementing her with formula and what a difference! She was finally a happy baby. Now things are getting better. She still has her days were she won't sleep or is a little fussy, but its to be expected. I am working on my patience! :) Other than that she is a good baby. This was my first week alone with her with out my mom or my husband. I have been trying to get her on a schedule, but she doesn't like schedules it seems:) Hopefully its still early, I am hoping. She did good the first couple of days, but yesterday and today, it was like schedule??? what schedule?? Right now she is napping and of course she is a little angel when she is napping. I can't wait for fall, so we can spend more time outside. Right now its just sooooo hot, I only have as small window to get her out of the house when its not too hot. The breast feeding thing has been one heck of a challenge. I never seem to make enough for her, or she doesn't get enough out in a single feeding (she tends to get sleepy while am feeding her). Hopefully that will get better. I can now see the lure of formula feeding. but am here all day, so I will breast feed as much as I can. I enjoy it, but I just wish she didn't take so long:) At least it helps her fall asleep. So far she is thriving. . .she smiles more and talks more. She is holding her head up more. We noticed she has a dimple mirrored to mine. Too cute. When we wet her hair,k it gets all curly. When it dries, it sticks straight up. Enjoy the video!! she was talking to me the other morning.

39 weeks and 6 days

Ok so we are patiently awaiting our new arrival. I think she is little too comfy in there. Everything is ready and waiting. Its a little weird waiting like this. Can't really make in a fun plans other than dinner and movies near by. Upcoming reunion is probably a no go. Although mom is really really thinking I should go. She was like, "she should be fine". I told her I don't think I would be fine with a 1week old baby in the hot summer sun like that. forget it. Plus, there is a party for my grandmother the week after that I think would be more appropriate to attend. We shall see when this little one decides to make her appearance. Feeling better than last week. I think she dropped a little but that is just me hoping. I slept a heck of a lot better last night than before. We have our apt on Friday, so we shall see then if she isn't here. Here's hoping!!

38 weeks tomorrow

So we are in the home stretch now!! Am so excited and ready to have this baby. She is kicking me harder these days, I think she is ready too. I think her daddy is ready as well. We have her room almost complete. .. well we just need to clean the mess now:) All her little baby clothes are washed and her toys are all there. Even her little bed is ready. I am getting the feeling this baby is going to try and wait me out though. With my luck:) Hopefully she will come next week or early the following. I have been walking and stretching to see if I can move things along. Not sure its working though, but i am definately out of shape! Well when you are carrying an extra 30 lbs around, I guess it can feel that way. Here are some more pics of the room!

35 weeks

Had my 35 week appt on Wednesday. All was well. Its definitely getting closer. She is moving more everyday. Definitely getting stronger! Jose is anxiously waiting for her arrival. We sometimes sit and reflect that our life will no longer be the same when she is here. Our days of lounging around watching TV or quietly taking naps at our leisure is coming to an end. It's time though. We have been together for over 7 years and am looking forward to our next adventure together. Its been fun so far, painting the room. We just put her dresser together which was a challenge! This child has more clothes that I do and she ain't even here yet. We are very excited. Even though its only been 9 months, it feels like forever since we have expected her. Well, I will post pictures of the room here soon. It looks so cute!

29 week ultrasound

So today was the day. We could actually see her little face!! The excitement was almost too much. I had to wait until 4:45 this afternoon to see her. Definitely a girl, and was she moving!! This little munchkin was kicking the U/S machine!! Not sure who she looks like yet, but she is cute as button!!

27 Weeks

Closing out my 2nd trimester and heading to my third. Things are going well. Got the name: Jocelyn Rene!! Whoo hoo. Named after me and her daddy:) Well sort of. Getting the room ready now. Can't wait till its finished!

25 weeks

Ok so had to write. For Christmas this past year, Jose bought me a Graco sound thingy that amplifies the sounds in your belly so you can hear your baby. Well he didn't know, but it doesn't really work until you are like in your 3rd trimester. So at first we were trying it out but couldn't hear anything. Last night we tried it again and lo and behold there she was. We could here her swishing around and all her kicks. She even kicked the thing too! WE both saw it! Amazing. She was wide awake and letting us know. We were so excited, I can't wait till she is here kicking us on the outside:)

24 weeks

So I had my 6th month appt on Wednesday. Heartbeat was at 150. She was up and awake. I can feel her so much more now. Mostly inside, not on the outside just yet. We started on the nursary this past week, so I will post pics soon. We are way too excited. Feels a little more real now that we know its a girl and we have a name. Not sure how we want to spell it just yet, but we will decide soon.

going on 22 weeks

Just thought I would blog a bit today. So no doubt, I can't fit in my pants any more:( boo hoo. I have been using this band that they sell, but I really need to invest in some pregnancy clothes!! Can't wait to the weather warms so I can at least wear dresses. I can definitely feel her more in there tumbling around. Not on the outside, but definitely inside. I think we will start on her room this week. Am so excited. Already have clothes from my friend that has a 1 year old. Let the fun begin!!!

20 week Dr visit. Well finally the big day was here! We woke up early and I made sure to drink some coffee to ensure my little munchkin was awake! And boy was she! We went to the sono and there she was! We were so excited to see her again and yes we found out it was girl! I was so excited. I kept thinking in the back of my mind that it was a boy. Jose just wanted to make sure the baby was doing good. She was, of course. The hospital was nice enough to record the sono for us.
Its in two sections here is the second part. All we have to do now is pick out a name!!! wowzer!

18 weeks and counting

Well, no dr appt this week, but I thought it would be fun to write. Am definitely noticing a difference in my clothes etc. I actually thought I felt the baby move the other day. Just a little flutter in my belly. But I was so excited. We definitely are anxious for Feb 1st to see the baby again. We will be counting the days down. Need to start on the baby's room, but I think we will be more motivated after we learn the gender. I will write more after the next appt. Can't wait!

16 Weeks

Just got back from the Dr's office. This office visit went a lot faster than the last. All my measurements were good and the heart beat was at 148 (which is perfect). That heartbeat is music to my ears!! She said I should be feeling the baby in there here soon. While she was listening to the heartbeat the baby kicked at that spot a couple of times which was really cool. Definitely an active baby. Next month we go in for our next sono when we should know the sex. AM WAY excited about that. As for me, my hunger has stabilized. Allergies hit last week, so that was not fun. I couldn't take any decongestants that I like, so I had to tough it out. Not fun. Feeling better this week, of course the week am back at work. The only difference I have noticed is in the morning when I sleep on my side. I wake up and can feel that little knot in my belly. Its getting bigger and Jose has felt it too. The first time I felt that I was excited. Am still not showing much. I also just found out my coworker is like 3 weeks behind me! Exciting. Well since I don't have any sonogram pics here is an image of a 16 wk fetus:

16 week baby
